- The registration of a brand new domain name which has a unique set of Firstname, Lastname and Email Address data set as the Registrant contact.
- In the event a domain name is transferred to our wholesale provider which contains a unique set of Firstname, Lastname and Email Address data set as the Registrant contact.
- Where the Whois contact details are updated on an existing domain name registration to a unique set of Firstname, Lastname and Email Address data set as the Registrant contact.
- In the event Whois Data Reminder Policy (WDRP) or domain expiry notifications sent to the domain name Registrant contact bounce back.
Why does this only apply to unique Registrant data?
As the domain registrar we are only required to verification the Registrant data once; this refers to a Registrant contact where the Firstname, Lastname and Email Address are the set in the same combination. Here are some examples:
- Domain name 1 – myshop.com > Firstname: Joe – Lastname: Banks – Email Address: mynameisjoe@gmail
- Domain name 2 – mystore.net > Firstname: Joe – Lastname: Banks – Email Address: mynameisjoe@gmail
- Domain name 3 – mystore.com > Firstname: Joey – Lastname: Banks – Email Address: mynameisjoe@gmail
Where domain name 1 is registered first, it will undergo validation. Upon domain name 2 being registered, as it has the exact same contact details as domain name 1, no further action is required.
However, as domain name 3 has a different first name set of “Joey”, verification of the Whois data will commence.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
